If you’re new to network marketing and prefer to build a business offline, start planting a lot of seeds. Seeds take time to grow, and you reap what you sow. The more seeds you plant, the bigger your harvest. So what exactly are the seeds? The seeds are the prospecting tools provided by your company, and the soil is your prospects. Hand out your prospecting tools, like brochures or videos, to as many people as possible. Now that you planted these seeds, let the prospecting tools do most of the work for you. Before you hand out any of these tools, ask them some pre-qualifying questions. You can simply ask, “If I could show you a way to make extra income part time that won’t interfere with your current job, would you at least take a look at it?” If your prospect says yes to this question, hand them the prospecting tools.

The next step is to harvest only the fruit that’s ripe. Statistics show that nine out of ten people won’t be interested in the message. Don’t take it personally or think you are not a good enough salesperson, or that your product is not good enough. It may simply be that your prospect is not interested at this time. These prospects may be skeptical, so don’t spend too much time trying to convince skeptics. Only a few people may be interested, so set a time to meet with them face to face. If you’re quite new, ask your upline to assist you with this meeting, or do a three-way call.

The final step is to harvest your crops. After speaking with your prospect, and after presenting them as much company information as they requested, some of them may still not express interest in joining. Is this the time to give up and move on to the next person? Absolutely not! Stay in contact with them and follow-up, without pushing the opportunity too much. It may take seven or eight contacts before you can reap the maximum harvest.

So if someone tells you that they are not interested or want to think about it some more, don’t take it personally. Chances are, they may become interested sooner or later. When they tell you they’re not interested, it might not be the right time for them. However, things can change, such as a sudden layoff or needing extra cash, so the timing might be right during those circumstances. Your job is to plant the seed, and be there to pick up the fruit when it’s ripe. So when they tell you that they’re not interested at this time, make sure to set the stage for future contacts by telling them, “I realize that the timing may not be right for you, but if your job situation is ever in doubt and you need a plan B, this is the ideal home-based business for you.”

Keep in contact with them from time to time, and share your excitement with them. Over time, they will become attracted to you and maybe be interested in joining you at a later point. Keep persistent, but do not be pushy or aggressive. So start planting the seeds and get ready to harvest over the long term.

How many times have you cringed after receiving a message from someone you just connected with immediately pitching his or her opportunity? We’ve all heard them tell you that they have the best compensation plan, they’re going to be the next billion-dollar company, and that their juice, lotion or potion is the cure for cancer. They even create a sense of urgency by telling you that if you don’t sign up by midnight, you’ll lose out on a once in a lifetime opportunity. Sound familiar?

Like most of you, I get annoyed when people start pitching the opportunity from the get-go without even finding out more about me, what my needs are, and how things are going. This is a sure-fire way to lose any credibility you have with your new contact. So for those who are new to using social media as a way to start building relationships with strangers, here are the steps I recommend.

Step One: Join a group where you think your prospects might be members. There are dozens of groups on Linked In, and probably hundreds, if not thousands of groups on Facebook, related to network marketing. If you’re using Facebook, you could join Fan Pages of industry icons, such as Mike Dillard and Robert Kiyosaki, where you’ll find a few thousand like minded individuals who are members of those fan pages.

Step Two: On Facebook, send a friend request, and write a short message why you want to connect, such as “I noticed that we’re both fans of Mike Dillard, so I thought I’d reach out and ask if you are interested in connecting to exchange ideas.” If you are connecting on Linked In, I suggest sending them a message first and asking for their permission to connect. If you send invitations right away, and you receive a number of “Don’t know” responses, Linked In may block your ability to send invitations directly.

Step Three: After they approve your request, send your new contact a message telling them “Thanks for adding me, and looking forward to sharing ideas with you.” That’s when you can start getting to know them. You can ask them what they do, how long they have been doing it, and/or how their job situation has been affected by the economic crisis. You get the picture. Offer to help them in anyway you could. You could ask them what their goals are for the year, and offer to help them achieve those goals. This is when you start the relationship building process. Offer to chat with them by phone or Skype and start getting to know your contact.

The overall key is to build relationships and trust with your new contact. This takes time, but eventually they will get to like you and consider you as a trusted advisor. Give them advice and suggestions whenever it’s appropriate. Once they start feeling your excitement and energy, there may come a time when they start asking you about your business. This is probably an appropriate time to talk about your opportunity, and hopefully, they join your business because they really enjoy working with you.

What Is The Law Of Attraction?

Perhaps you’ve become aware of the popularity of the Law of Attraction. The big question is: how can you incorporate its principles into your daily existence?

To do this correctly, we must first understand what the Law of Attraction means and what its guiding principles are. Thankfully, they’re quite simple and easy to comprehend.

The Law of Attraction states that negative attracts negative and positive attracts positive. The universe can understand our subconscious minds, and it delivers things according to the way we’re thinking.

If we want the Law of Attraction to provide us with positive rewards, joy, and happiness, here are some simple strategies to follow:

1. Always give thanks. For us to live the Law of Attraction on a continuous basis, we must always give gratitude. What this means is that, no matter what we have up to this point in time, we must profess thanks for it.

If you sincerely practice this on a continuous basis, you’ll be rewarded with many positive things.

A good way to practice this on a daily basis is to give thanks each day upon rising and at night before going to bed. At these times of the day, our subconscious mind is most receptive.

Proclaiming gratitude keeps us humble and reminds us of all the good things in our lives.

2. Escape negative thoughts and feelings. More than likely your life is extremely hectic and stress-filled. It’s easy to become frustrated and negative about a lot of issues and situations. According to the principles of the Law of Attraction, we must redirect these feelings immediately. Remember that positive attracts positive, but we also must not forget that negative attracts negative.

Because of this, if we focus only on the negative, we’ll only attract negative things back into our existence. For example, if you’re in a long supermarket line, instead of thinking about how much you hate food shopping, think of your kids’ faces when you make their favorite meal.


There are many people in this world who live a positive existence; those are the

kind of people you must emulate.

3. Voice what you want. As per the Law of Attraction, if you request something, it will be brought to you. Do you want happy children, more money, love, and a well-paid job? All this can be yours, but you need to request this through your subconscious.

For instance, if you’d like love brought into your existence, you must truly picture yourself with love in your life. Imagine how happy you are, the smiles on your faces, and enjoying things together.

Just remember that you must request this sincerely. Only true positive energy will attract back more positive things. You can’t fake it!

The Law of Attraction proves to us that our subconscious is a powerful tool. It’s a tool that can provide us with everything our heart desires if we know how to use it correctly. Incorporate the principles of the Law of Attraction, and with an open heart, you can have a happy and fulfilling life.
